Please understand the true meaning of Qawwam. It is often misunderstood as authority or control, but in reality, it is a position of responsibility and accountability before Allah. Being a Qawwam is not about demanding obedience. It is about fulfilling your duty with justice, mercy, and sincerity.
A Qawwam is responsible for protecting, providing, leading with wisdom, and caring for his family. If we take a worldly example, a prime minister or chief minister is meant to be a servant of the people, not their master. Leadership is about serving those under your care, not ruling over them with arrogance. Likewise, a husband is entrusted with the responsibility to serve his family through sacrifice, protection, provision, and compassionate leadership.
So, dear brothers, do not misuse this role. Qawwam is not a license for pride, oppression, or control. It is a trust that Allah will hold you accountable for on the Day of Judgment. The greater the responsibility, the greater the accountability.
