5 lakh/month in hand = 60 lakh/year net. Add taxes back and you're asking for a CTC (Cost to Company) north of ₹1 crore. That's not a groom that's a CXO with a corner office and a LinkedIn blue tick.

Here's the caveat a warning nobody's reading companies pad packages with ESOPs (stock options) that stay illiquid meaning you can't encash them until vesting often years away n sometimes not at all if the company doesn't IPO. So that "20 lakh package" bhaiya is flaunting? Real in hand might be half the rest is a PDF and a prayer.

Moral of the story discern between CTC, in-hand, and paper wealth before you set a number you saw on a LinkedIn flex post. Otherwise you'll be single till the ESOPs vest and so will he waiting for someone who actually reads a salary slip.
