I am posting the link to a book written by an amazing young Muslim author and life coach about marriage and what we as Muslims should be focusing on when considering a spouse and the things we should be asking them initially during the talking stage. The book is written from an Islamic lens keeping in mind the recent times. Plus the author Adi Wahab has written this after is own struggle when finding a spouse so it comes from a very real and honest place. Having read the book it has helped me get clarity on what questions to ask when considering someone and the values I should be looking for from an Islamic lens. It has also helped me better understand how we at times fixate upon certain aspects that can built with time, whilst completely ignoring some key compatibility factors which should be discussed in early conversations rather than after you have developed feelings for someone as that sets you up for a heartbreak.

The book also links all values to prophetic guidance which is really helpful plus also explains how currently we are following a very westernised approach to the institute of marriage which means we focus on the wrong things and this is increasing the rate of divorces within the Muslim community as a whole. I personally think the book is really valuable and will help anyone who is looking for a spouse hence sharing here. I pray and wish luck to everyone 😊
