Single Mothers
I think I understand the fear some men feel in marrying a single mother.
If you think about the issue men have with women currently it's issues related to demands such as mehr, duties, allowance, and past, as well as ease in getting marriage.
Single mothers, let's say you don't seek such because you understand how to find a good man but you struggle with finding men willing. The men who see the above side fear more of single mothers assuming they would request the same as well as requesting above and beyond for their kid.
Delusional men and women exist and they set a standard that gets shared and spreads. It then becomes a seed in some women who start to believe it's a standard and not a joke.
Besides the issue of some brothers raising another's child, I think the above issue I stated is more accurate as to why single mothers aren't often approached.
