Sisters, I’d really appreciate your honest perspective.

I’m a Palestinian American in my 40s, divorced, with kids, new to Chicago, and I live in the city of Chicago. Ideally, I’d like to meet a local Palestinian woman with a similar background. The challenge is that, although there are many Palestinians in the Chicagoland area, nearly all of the community is in the southern suburbs, while I’m in the city. On top of that, I’m pretty introverted. I don’t really go to community events, and I’m not particularly involved in mosque culture. That’s simply where I am in life, and I’m content with my path, so I’m respectfully asking that we keep the discussion focused on my question rather than judging that.

I’m looking for a wife who becomes my best friend and someone to build a peaceful, happy life with. Oh, I know that there are thousands of them in the Chicago line area, and I suspect because there are so many they don’t use the apps, so it’s been a struggle to run into this person. 

My question is how weird would it be if I used the this app to simply put myself out there and network? I’m not talking about messaging women inappropriately or trying to convince people to match with me. I mean more along the lines of saying, “Hey, I’m single, this is who I am, and if you happen to know a wonderful Palestinian woman who might be a good fit, I’d genuinely appreciate an introduction.”

At this point, it feels like one of the few ways I can expand my circle. Communities are connected, and someone always seems to know someone.

Would that come across as odd or desperate to you, or would you see it as a reasonable way to let people know you’re looking? I’d especially love to hear from sisters who are part of the local Palestinian community.

So I like punctuality or at a place at least 30mins early otherwise I rather not go and sulk (I'm not that bad promise 🤭) ...

I wonder how this will work if my other half has no clue of being punctual and always late!!!

Should I change or does he need to just be on TIME!!!
