Lately, I’ve noticed a small pattern in a few conversations.

They start naturally good energy, consistent replies, shared curiosity. It feels like something is actually building.

And then it quietly ends with: “You’re too far away.”

I used to think about the distance. Now I find myself thinking about something else. Because the distance was never new. It was there from the very beginning.

Maybe what changes isn’t the miles, but the willingness to keep going despite them. And I’m slowly learning that distance rarely ends something on its own. It just reveals how far someone is willing to try.
