Remember where Allah has put a full stop, don't proceed to put a comma. The truth is, reconnecting with people who hurt you is disrespectful to the version of you that suffered. I don't know what your are going through, but you can be overlooked, talked about, underqualified or even misunderstood, and Allah will always put you on top. People may shut the doors on you. You may see it as rejection. It may hurt, but Allah saved you, from what could have been worse. It's His protection. If you don't remove yourself from a situation that is not safe for you to be in, He will remove you from it. That's mercy.
The truth is, people have nothing to say about those are who lose. But they have a lot to talk about when you win. Still remain kind, stay humble, and continue being the good person you are. Keep putting in the work, because you have still further to go, and give them a show.
