you've always been yourself and the suffering is from trying to be like someone else..
I'm might be wrong, but think about it.. you've watched 1000's & 1000's of videos.. of course you can't remember them all, but you do the ones that resonated with you?
you've grown up with your siblings - same parents, social environment.. but so so different.. you cannot be a better version of yourself. the problem is when you hear all these voices and advices in your head, how you think people that you admire would act in this and that situation.. whilst your own voice is standing at the back waiting for its turn.. too bad. you keep running away from your own shadow trying to suppress the things you hate about yourself, but I can promise that if you stop and shine the light on it - it's not so scary.. unless you're pretending to be completely virtious.. stop running and embrace yourself and you will feel the liberation it will give you and permission to be yourself!
so I suggest that you already are, just instead of using the energy to become.. conserve it for paying attention and trust your inner light.
