Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
Something funny going on spiritually.......
I did an istikhara for a guy I'm in dialogue with right now. We don't communicate in an intense way. Just "hi" and "hello" kind of thing. We talk about food a lot. I would prefer this type of dialogue than having to block a dirty talker.
All of a sudden, there's an insurgency in the amount of overseas men trying to contact me.
I can't tar everyone with the same brush. Not all men are visa hunters but I promised myself I would not do overseas marriage. And thats my right.
I would say 99% are visa hunters and 1% are genuine conscientious men. But I'm sure, out of millions of British men, one is made for me.
My first criteria is....Will he make a great father? And that question goes into my istikhara prayers.
I've been sold a fairytale before for 3 months. I also did an istikhara for that dialogue and it left me in pieces. I cried for 10 days on and off.
I will never let a man sell me a fairytale ever again. Something just died in me so bad. Lesson learnt. One day you wake up and you believe you found your soul mate and the next thing you know.....its slipped out of your hands like sand.
It scares me how qadr can change overnight. Turn 360 degrees in a matter of days.
If a dialogue won't last then how can you expect marriage to last with that same man?
I have alot of queries with Allah ta'ala and its time to say enough is enough. My soul cannot bear anymore. So do not burden me.
I did not deserve to be beaten black and blue in a marriage. No woman deserves that harm no matter what comes out of her mouth.
I did not deserve 3 miscarriages crippled with pain. I did not deserve a Sheikh husband who would not pay a penny towards living costs.
My children did not deserve to live fatherless for the last 12 years.
I have a lot of beef with Allah ta'ala.
I cannot bear anymore pain. And I will put that in my prayers.

I never forget my safar ki dua because every single time I get on the road I’m reminded that I have voluntarily entrusted my life to a social experiment involving thousands of strangers who all somehow believe they’re the only competent driver on the road.
No because why are you overtaking a truck on a blind turn? Are you late for your own janazah? Who are you racing? Jannah?
Then there’s the guy changing three lanes with no indicator because apparently telepathy is an accepted form of road communication. And the uncle who’s been indicating right since the Mughal Empire. And the guy on his scooty who just cut across both lanes, perpendicularly, while talking on the phone, without even checking either side.
Sir? Excuse me? He looked at us for half a second, nodded his head once. Was that an apology, a thank you, a greeting, an acknowledgment that we had collectively survived the interaction? I shall never know. I wonder was he trying to cross the road or recreate a Final Destination scene?
WHO ARE YOU NODDING AT? PHYSICS? GRAVITY? THE CONCEPT OF TRAFFIC?
Some of you genuinely drive like respawning is a feature. Like you’ll just wake up at your last checkpoint. It honestly feels like people have taken their lives, placed them on the roof of their car and decided that everyone else will be responsible for their safety and shall drive carefully. Literally nothing else.
Meanwhile I’m in my seat making istighfar because the Corolla next to us just merged using tawakkul alone and the biker behind us has accepted near death experiences as a lifestyle.
At this point my trust isn’t in the traffic. It isn’t in your licence which I am sure doesn’t exist. It isn’t even in your ability to identify which pedal stops the car.
My trust is entirely in Allah. Because, respectfully, I’ve seen enough.

There’s something beautiful about a quiet life that asks nothing of you except to enjoy it.
