Don't give emotions to someone who doesn't feel their worth.

Many people posting here about Mahr(dowry) given to woman at the time of Nikkah or the time they(husband and wife) agree upon. They try to show their desired interpretation of Qur'an. And saying that " Allah has not set any limit on Mahr, and Women have right to ask as much as they desire. " And sometimes they even quoting Khalifa Omar Ibn khattab for their false idea.
But, It's never for women to ask for higher amount or gold or cars and houses. And not even for husband to show off by paying high Mahr. They are definitely corruption the society and what Islam told actually.

As it mentioned in Quran: meanings: *It is not for a believing man or woman,when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter,to have any other choice in that matter. Indeed, whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone ˹far˺ astray.

And in this matter is clear by Hadees in which Prophet Muhammad PBUH who is most wise on the planet Earth has said,
"Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: The best marriage is the one that is most easy."
So the talk many people are making here, if you can't pay the Mahr, just move is totally different from the real interpretation of Qur'an.
They are even saying this is the security of Women. If they are already insecure about their husbands,then money can't secure them.
Woman can ask for Mahr according to her status, it's not she is living in house with no electricity or living in us/UK working 16 hours for her daily expenses. And asking man for millions.*
And Allah knows Best.
If someone comes with proof, he/she is welcome.
