I genuinely do not understand why people here cannot just let me yap in peace. It is literally just me and my tiny little brain noticing random things, overthinking them, and accidentally turning them into essays. That is the entire operation.

I have no other motive beyond letting the thoughts in my head exist somewhere in peace. Tiny observations, random tangents, questions, and wonderfully derailed trains of thought that would’ve otherwise stayed trapped in my head.

Yet somehow every other comment section turns into people psychoanalysing me, assigning motives I never had, arguing with things I never even said, or trying to convince me they know me better than I know myself. It is exhausting.

I don’t want to spend more time dissecting human nature just to make sense of people’s randomness than I do actually writing. I try to understand people before I judge them. I just wish the favour was occasionally returned. I’d rather spend that curiosity on ideas, stories, and thoughts, not on trying to understand why every harmless observation has to become a battle.

To those of you who are here because you genuinely enjoy my words, thank you. You have no idea how much I appreciate you. You are one of the reason I still come back. I can explain and defend my thoughts without ever disrespecting another person’s opinion, but I refuse to keep defending my right to have those thoughts in the first place.

I’ve learned something about myself over the years: I don’t do well with places or people that suffocate me, physically or mentally. Writing has always felt like breathing to me. I came here because it felt like the perfect place to let my thoughts wander.

I spent 28 years keeping this brain privately held. Twenty-eight days after the IPO, management is seriously considering taking it private again. Turns out public markets have opinions about everything and it’s in turn hurting the brand.

Because Lately I’ve caught myself wondering if these derailed trains of thought belong somewhere quieter. Somewhere they can simply exist again without being put on trial every single time they leave my head.

I don’t mind leaving a room that no longer lets me breathe, even if I once called it home. And I don’t want to leave because I ran out of thoughts. I’d leave because I got tired of defending the existence of every single one.

Long post: The Muslim/Asian community (i wont speak for others) need to do better regarding disabled people. I don’t know if it’s because people choose to be ignorant, or like preying on vulnerable people but these are the people of Jannah.

A woman on tiktok shared that her family abandoned her and told her that her child was ‘embarrassing’ bc he was born autistic.

My brother is autistic. Growing up, we were mocked for it, my extended family members told my mum to get ruqya done on him, to take him to umrah to ‘cure’ him. Mind you, he’s not physically disabled, he just couldn’t talk for the first 9 years of his life and would get frustrated. When my uncle was unmarried and living with my nani, he used to tell my mum ‘take your kids home’ he now has severely disabled children. I share this knowing it will probs be used against me somewhere down the line but,

We’re all grown and Insh’Allah one day you’re all going to get married and have your own kids so if they’re born disabled, would you love them less?

My brother is the kindest soul. He’s a gentle giant, he taught me patience, empathy, kindness and so much more. I wouldn’t change him for the world. To be loved by a child with autism or any disability at that is unmatched. The rewards for having a child this way are next to none too.

I read this online:

"Never trust a girl when she says goodnight, she is just saying that to watch tiktok in peace."

Ladies is this true?!

I tried a different opening message instead of the usual "hows your week going", I think I was too out of the box. The guy was Bengali and had a a picture of him eating sushi and I wrote "Sushi? I didn't have you down as a cannibal".... Blocked 5 minutes later. I'm Bengali too so I thought fish jokes were fair game, whoops 😅😅😅.
