My favourite saying is “ Festina Lente” and this tbh more accurately, it means 'make haste slowly' or proceed expeditiously but prudently.

I think often about the need to balance the necessary risk taking penchant I have with considering the dangers of youthful overconfidence. How does one know when to act and when to wait? When to make a play and when to hold the line?

I like this a lot. Be prudent, don't jump blindly, but when the moment comes, strike decisively and definitively.

On. secondary level, it reminds me of impatience with action, patience in result.
Life is long. There is no rush. There is plenty of time to acquire and enjoy everything we dream of, but only if we build it brick by brick, day by day.

That's the thing. The resources will come, but it won't just jump out to you from your bed or your comfort zone. the great relationship will come but you actually have to start going to events and saying hi to new people. You gotta get out there and start shaking hands, start exposing your ideas to the real world

Everyone likes to bet on winners, it's tough to be the underdog, so get it out the mud by yourself until people start to have a reason to believe in you. Prove the concept. Build your skill. The world doesn't owe you anything but it conspires to support the person earnestly pursuing a positive vision.
