Is it really that much of a challenge to talk to someone with a good personality, mutual attraction, who is actually age appropriate and understands your level of jokes but can be serious ? 🥴🥴

When I found this app, as a revert, it was like a breath of fresh air - like an Islamic Facebook almost. I thought it’d be a place where Muslims connect ‘positively’. I’m quite clearly mistaken, admittedly. Peoples’ characters are on display here, whether they choose to acknowledge so or not and what I see much more of from people are the following;

Bickering

Insulting each other

Negative people on very or generally positive posts

Insincere ‘uplifting’ posts (some, not all)

Exposure of private messages

Mens’ pictures being posted with the same rhetoric that the pictures are only being posted to ‘save other sisters’. When in reality it’s usually done out of spite.

Gender wars

Attention seeking!

Simping and pandering to the opposite gender

Gossiping

Showing off

While I was sipping on my lemon tea at the gym, the owner happened to walk up to me and we got into a conversation.

He started telling me about the new equipments that were arriving…

Meanwhile, instead of asking,

“Pilates kab se shuru hoga?” 😂

I was asking:

How much did all this cost?

What made you start this business?

Do you think you’ll get a good ROI? 🙈🤣

He even started showing me videos of the equipments, proudly telling me which ones came from the US and which ones from Dubai (with the price). 😂

It was only after I left that I realised…

I probably had a very different conversation from what he was expecting. 😂🙈

Please tell me I’m not the only one who’s more interested in the business behind something than the actual thing itself. 🤣

Oh… and before you ask…

Yes, I finally found a ladies only gym and got myself a membership today. 💪😂😎
