Why would you not be happy single before looking for marriage? If your intention to get married is because you’re unhappy with your life right now or you’re miserable or feeling spiritually weak then I’m sorry to say but you shouldn’t be searching for marriage.

A marriage isn’t supposed to heal your emotional traumas or get rid of your sadness in life you need to work on this on your own before you enter someone else’s life, your spouse isn’t responsible for teaching you emotional intelligence or getting rid of your unhappiness from your past life.

You should prioritise your worship to Allah, there you will find happiness and blessed tranquility. A marriage comes with many challenges and you will need to be emotionally available for your spouse 24/7 so you need to be in a good mental state prior to marriage. Having the notion marriage is going to make you happy the moment you face your first difficulty in your marriage you’ll not be ready to handle it.

So the question to ask yourself today is are you ready for marriage?
