From the quest of knowledge I have come to realize that many sisters prefer a potential spouse who already owns some luxuries of life such as having a home or has plans to buy one. And this has got me thinking over the years

As Muslims, we're encouraged to avoid riba, and for many brothers that's a major reason they choose to rent instead of taking a conventional mortgage.

But at the same time, I can understand why some sisters see owning a home as a form of security and stability, especially when thinking about raising children and planning for the future.

So here's my question:

If avoiding riba means renting for many years, would that be something you're comfortable with? Or do you believe home ownership is important enough that exploring halal home financing becomes the better option?

I'm genuinely interested in hearing both brothers' and sisters' perspectives. So Let's keep the discussion respectful and productive. 🙏
