Muzz mystery of the day: Why do people match, chat for a couple of days, then disappear for a week without unmatching? Genuinely curious, is there a reason people do this?

Iam new here for muzz 😅

I had this conversation yesterday about how a person should be happy, at peace and comfortable and not expecting someone else to MAKE them happy but to ADD to it. I was talking with a woman for 3 months and she wasn’t ever satisfied (that I wasn’t making enough (not listening etc.)) when I was spending 500$ on roses when I didn’t had to at all. What I understood afterward is that I was kinda her main source of happiness. It has exhausted me and has costed our possible future. I decided to part ways. Was I wrong in my thinking ? She wasn’t ever satisfied and she’d not tell me exactly what she’d want to have or do, but just kinda expected me to guess that by magic. I need y’all perspective/insights on this because I’m still a bit confused and need reassurance on that matter.
