Allah states in the Qur'an that spouses are meant to bring tranquility, love, and mercy into each other's lives. Therefore, one of the main purposes of marriage is to find peace and comfort with one another.

Another thing I would like to mention is that many people here are looking for the best match. I will not comment on that because everyone has the full right to choose according to their preferences. However, it is important to give people enough time and make an effort to understand them. Looking only at a profile will tell you very little about who a person truly is.

A person may appear confident but may not be competent. Likewise, someone may seem competent but may not have enough confidence. Many individuals leave without finding the right person and say that it is difficult to find a suitable match here. In reality, some are only three feet away from gold but give up too soon.

Do not focus only on looks. Instead, look for qualities such as respect, humility, integrity, and good communication. Look for someone who values and protects the marriage contract, remains loyal, and works to keep the relationship strong. Choose the person who brings happiness, peace, and stability into your life—not merely the one who looks like a hero but carries a negative attitude.

Here are some of GOD’S verses for you to ponder

Avoid blind following: you will be accountable for what GOD allows you to witness.

1. On following scholars who make lawful and unlawful outside of GOD’S verses in the Quran

"Why do the rabbis and scholars not forbid them from saying what is sinful and consuming what is unlawful? How wretched is what they have been practicing." (5:63)

2. Follow GOD and the Quran:

"And when it is said to them, 'Follow what GOD has revealed,' they say, 'Rather, we will follow that which we found our forefathers doing.' Even if Satan was inviting them to the punishment of the Blaze?"
(31:21)

3. Majority don't believe in GOD unless they ascribe partners (are mushriks) whether they idolize a prophet (Jesus, Muhammad) or Ego, Wealth or any number of other things

"And most of them do not believe in GOD except while they associate partners with HIM." (2:18)

4. Denying GOD, HIS signs and the Quran

But those who deny Our verses are deaf and dumb in darkness. Whomever GOD wills - HE leaves astray; and whomever HE wills - HE puts him on a straight path." (6:39)

5. Those who make rules about what is religously forbidden and permissable outside of what GOD authorized in the Quran

"And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about GOD or denies HIS verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed." (6:21)

"And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, 'This is lawful and this is forbidden,' to invent falsehood about GOD. Indeed, those who invent falsehood about GOD will not succeed."
(16:116)

These verses have come to you. GOD guides whom HE wills.
