The believers, both men and women, are guardians of one another. They encourage good and forbid evil, establish prayer and pay alms-tax, and obey Allah and His Messenger. It is they who will be shown Allah’s mercy. Surely Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.

The Qur'an is not just a religious scripture; it is also a linguistic masterpiece. Every word has been carefully chosen to convey a specific message, and every phrase has a profound meaning.

In Surah Tawbah, verse 71, Allah describes the relationship of the believing men and women,

وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتُ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَآءُ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ

The believers, both men and women, are guardians of one another.

Just a few verses earlier, in verse 67, He addresses the connection between the hypocrites,

ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَ وَٱلْمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتُ بَعْضُهُم مِّنۢ بَعْضٍۢ ۚ

The hypocrite men and hypocrite women are of one another.

In the description of believers, Allah uses the additional term أَوْلِيَآءُ ('guardians'), while for hypocrites, He omits this word and uses مِّنۢ ('from') instead. Are these just two ways of expressing the same idea? Is it merely for the sake of variety?

When reading the Qur'an, we may not typically pay attention to such nuances. However, every word has been chosen or omitted for a reason.

The believers are guardians of one another because they support and aid each other in Islam. They have a strong bond of unity of hearts upon their religion, and thus Allah describes them as such.

In other parts of the Qur'an, Allah refers to the believers as brothers (al-Hujuraat, verse 10), highlighting the importance of their bond and the unity that they share.

This distinction is important because it highlights the fundamental difference between the believers and the hypocrites. The believers strive for righteousness and work towards pleasing Allah, while the hypocrites only pretend to do so. They are not sincere in their faith, and their ‘hearts are divided’, as Allah mentions in another verse (al-Hashr, verse 14).

To every man and woman reading this 🤍🌿

If Allah sees the ability within you to study, grow, and succeed in a certain field, then know that He will open the doors for you in ways you never expected 🤲✨ Nothing happens by accident, and no effort you make is ever wasted when it is for a good purpose and with sincere intention.

Alhamdulillah, all praise is due to Allah 🤍 I am grateful to share that I have passed my foundation year for BSc (Hons) in Health and Social Care 🎓📚 May Allah continue to guide me through the remaining 3 years, make the journey easy for me, and allow me to use this path to help and serve others in the best way possible 🤲💙

And to anyone studying, struggling, planning something for your future, or feeling like things are too heavy right now please remember this: you are never alone 🌙✨ Allah is with you in every step, every delay, every setback, and every success. He is your greatest supporter, your protector, and your guide 🤍
Keep going, even when it feels difficult 💪🌧️ Your strength is not measured by how easy the journey is, but by how you keep moving forward despite everything. Trust His timing, trust His wisdom, and trust that what is meant for you will never miss you 🤲🌿

I am also a domestic abuse survivor 💔➡️🤍 and I am also a mother of two 😊❤ and if I can rebuild, heal, and keep moving forward, then you can too. Your past does not define your future, and your pain does not cancel your purpose. You are stronger than you think, and Allah’s mercy is always greater than any hardship you’ve faced 🤲✨

So let us continue to strive, not only for success in this world, but for the sake of Allah Almighty alone 🤍🌙 Let our intentions be pure, our hearts be patient, and our steps be steady upon goodness.
Keep praying 🤲 Keep believing 🌿 Keep trying 💪 Keep trusting Allah 🤍
You are not walking alone… Allah is with you every step of the way ✨🌙💙

Real connection isn’t revealed in the easy moments… but in how two souls choose to stay, understand, and grow when things become quiet, difficult, or uncertain. Who are you in those moments?

"If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise]". 4:31

I used this verse earlier today to help people empathize with others who may be struggling with some sin; but gentle reminder that one should also use this verse on themselves and try not being hard on themselves.
Everyone is on a journey. We all will struggle with sins. As long as you strive to give up on your major ones, as Allah says Himself “We will remove from you your lesser sins”.

If your duʿāʾ has not yet been answered, do not lose hope. Be patient and continue calling upon Allah, for He never abandons the sincere supplication of His servant.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that the believer's duʿāʾ is never wasted. Rather, one of three things happens:

  1. Allah answers the duʿāʾ immediately.

  2. Allah delays the answer until the most suitable time.

  3. Allah stores its reward for the Hereafter or averts from the person a harm equivalent to it.

So never think your duʿāʾ has been ignored. Every tear, every whispered prayer in the darkness of the night, every hope you place in Allah is known to Him.

Whatever you have asked Allah for, whether it is guidance, provision, marriage, children, success, health, relief from debt, forgiveness, or Jannah, we ask Allah ﷻ to grant it to you in the best way and at the best time.

May Allah ﷻ grant you goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter.

May Allah ﷻ provide for you from sources you never imagined.

May Allah ﷻ bless you with a righteous spouse who will be the coolness of your eyes and a means of drawing closer to Him.

May Allah ﷻ relieve those burdened by debt and replace their worries with ease and abundance.

May Allah ﷻ grant success to all students, bless their efforts, and allow them to excel in their examinations.

May Allah ﷻ cure the sick, strengthen the weak, comfort the broken-hearted, and guide those who are searching for His path.

May Allah ﷻ forgive our fathers, mothers, relatives, teachers, and all the believing men and women who have passed away. May He illuminate their graves, shower them with mercy, and admit them into the highest levels of Jannah.

May Allah ﷻ have mercy upon our parents as they raised us when we were young.

May Allah ﷻ grant us all Jannatul-Firdaws without reckoning, allow us to drink from the Hawḍ of the Prophet ﷺ, and gather us in the company of the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous.

And may Allah ﷻ protect us, our families, and our loved ones from the punishment of the grave, the trials of this life, and the Fire of Hell.

Amin Yā Rabbal-ʿĀlamīn. 🤲❤️
