For my dear brothers and sisters out there trying to loose weight

My story and a mix of encouragement

I want you to recognize something important about your weight-loss journey: you are already someone who has proven you can change. You started around 225 lbs and have brought yourself down to the high 190s, which means you have already lost close to 30 pounds through your own effort, consistency, walking, strength training, and better choices. That is not a small accomplishment. There was a version of you months ago who may have wondered if you could do it, and now you are living proof that you can. When you feel impatient because the scale is moving slower, remind yourself that your body is not failing you — your body is adapting. A slower loss does not mean you are stuck; it means you are building something that can last.
The healthiest mindset for you is to stop viewing this as a temporary “diet” and start seeing it as a new chapter of your life. You are not just trying to reach 125 lbs; you are becoming a woman who keeps promises to herself. Every hour walk you complete, every dumbbell workout you finish, every time you choose water, balanced meals, and healthier habits, you are strengthening your confidence. Think about everything you have overcome emotionally and personally — continuing to care for yourself despite difficult experiences shows resilience. Your weight loss is not only changing your body; it is teaching you patience, self-love, discipline, and that you are capable of creating a future you are proud of.
When the journey feels long, remember this: you do not need to be perfect to succeed; you need to be consistent. There will be days when the scale surprises you, days when your weight fluctuates, and days when motivation is low. Those moments do not erase your progress. A healthy mindset says, “I am still the person who walks. I am still the person who works out. I am still the person who chooses health.” The goal is not to punish yourself into becoming smaller — it is to care for yourself into becoming stronger. Keep going, because the woman who reaches her goal weight will not be a completely different person; she will be the same you, who decided every day that she was worth the effort. ❤️

People with eczema, have you ever dealt with a flare up on the soles? Any tips for recovering would be appreciated. I feel like I have to not walk to recover 😭

I see so many people training incredibly hard in the gym, yet almost all of that effort goes into building muscle.

When it comes to cardiovascular fitness, their “cardio” is often just a comfortable walk or a few minutes on an incline treadmill. Here’s the problem. If your heart never has to work harder, it never has a reason to adapt.

Just as muscles need progressive overload to grow stronger, your cardiovascular system needs the right intensity to become more efficient. Walking is great for general health, recovery, and increasing daily activity but it isn’t enough to maximize aerobic fitness for most healthy people.

Your heart ♥️ is the most important muscle you’ll ever train.
Don’t just ask, “How much can I lift?
Also ask, “How fit and efficient is my heart”?

Train your muscles. But don’t neglect the engine that powers them all.

A strong body with a weak engine will always have limitations. Remember that
