Question: Is anyone else trying to lose a small amount of weight? If so, how much weight are you trying to lose, what caused that weight gain, and how do you plan to lose it?
I put on 7lbs between the end of summer last year and the beginning of Ramadan. Just the little extra piece of carb and sweets caused me to gain that weight.
I planned to lose the weight during Ramadan, but I ended up putting on another 7lbs because of the daily Ramadan desserts. I managed to lose that weight within a week just by eating normally, and I lost a couple of more pounds right before Qurbani Eid, but I gained back those couple of pounds since. It doesn't help that all the special occasions are back to back.
So now that all the festivities are out of way until winter, I'm going to stick to my usual diet. I'm realising that I don't crave hot food or bread during the heatwave, so I'll eat more salad during those times. I'm going to add soya as a regular staple for extra protein.
As for exercise, I don't have the drive to lift weights at the moment. I bought a set of resistance bands, and I'm going to do a workout video three times a week - two days lower body and one full body, perhaps with small weights. I'll add a short jog or an inclined walk on the treadmill. I'm looking forward to getting back into running when I'm ready. 🏃♀️
Anyone here into calasthenics or isit just me 🤣
Relaxing vibes from this weekend. Nothing beats a good sunny beach day. Best place to unwind and relax ☀️
Yesterday’s weighted + bodyweight session. 100s of reps and sets. Breaking night killed my recovery so a two day rest is calling
Everyone else though, go put some pain in!! You’ll feel better afterwards.
