Question for the ladies:

How would you feel about a guy you chose - like everything matches up.
But he was shorter than you when you wore heels?

Statement:

In today's modern western society... if a muslim woman isn't infatuated with her partner before marriage, it means she has very little or no love for him (and therefore, she will eventually have very little respect for him too).

True or False?

***Give your reasoning(s)***

I have lived in Japan and Australia and soon inshaAllah, I'll be pursuing my master's degree in the UK.

I've spoken to some friends who previously lived or studied in the UK, and the first thing many of them told me was, "Don't go to the UK, it's not that nice." They even said it’s sh*t hole :/
Well I'm always open to hearing their opinions and feedback (no hard feelings whatsoever.)

I've wanted to study in the UK since I was a teenager, so of course I'm going to do my best to make that dream come true and I actually have got accepted to the UK universities. At the same time, their comments have made me a little nervous and have caused me to question my decision.

Most of my friends say that because I've lived in Japan and Australia, it might be difficult for me to adjust to life in the UK.

My question is: do you think it's still worth living and studying in the UK at this time?
I'm open to any comments or advice because I'd love to hear different perspectives from both sisters and brothers 🙏🏼

Looking to settle down in London. 25yo, started a Professional career in Higher Education few years ago in London and now working a Permanent Public Sector job within Academic Quality Assurance and Development.

Looking for a potential partner in UK probably around 19-23 yo, studying or working, having a passion for a career and traveling around the world. Living an active and interesting life, no housewives ;)
Modern/secular/liberal muslims only, no conservatives")

Doesn't matter how your family is, if you're an open minded and independent type of person yourself, with no excessive family control/politics, we're a good match.

If any girl holds similar interests, drop a casual text and we can take it from there. Things should go easy and comfortable without any pressure...

If we get to know each other now, we can marry close to winter.

Looking forward for a connection :)

The Joy of Having Your Cake and Eating It Too

Many people dream of having it all—the freedom of independence and the comfort of commitment, the excitement of possibility and the security of certainty. The joy of “having your cake and eating it too” lies in experiencing abundance without sacrifice.

Yet life often asks us to choose. Maturity comes from understanding that every choice closes some doors while opening others. The deepest satisfaction is not in having everything, but in fully appreciating what we have chosen.

True fulfillment begins when we stop chasing every possibility and start valuing the reality before us.
