Practicing Islam is a 100% easier when you’re surrounded by righteous people who follow the Quran and the Sunnah.

If you’re finding it hard to stay on Deen,

have a look at your friendship circle.

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ):

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

A man follows the religion of his friend;

so each one should consider whom he makes his friend.

📚 Sunan Abi Dawud 4833

Islam, Oneness, and the Meaning of Submission

Not a Question of Superiority

It’s not about superiority as a group over others. Islam is not a particular isolated group, but humanity itself. Islam is about oneness and submission to Allah, and anyone can become Muslim when they reach the point of surrendering their will to Allah. Understanding this is profound.

Islam as Submission

Islam literally means submission—surrender to Allah. It is not first an identity or a label, but a state of alignment with the will of the Creator. A Muslim is defined not by comparison with others, but by submission to Allah.

Tawhid and the Principle of Oneness

Islam is built on the principle of oneness (Tawhid): the oneness of Allah and the unity of truth under Him. This removes the idea of competing ultimate loyalties. Life is centered on a single Creator, a single truth, and a single direction of worship and accountability.

Moving Beyond “Us Versus Them”

Once this is understood, it is no longer “us versus them.” It is submission to Allah. Everything else—labels, cultures, and communities—comes after that foundation, not before it. The focus shifts from identity-based comparison to spiritual direction.

The Qur’anic Standard of Worth

The Qur’an says:
“Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.” (3:19)

And:
“Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him.” (3:85)

And it also clarifies the true measure of distinction:
“Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.” (49:13)

Conclusion: Oneness Over Superiority

It is not about feeling superior to others. It is about oneness and submission to Allah, where worth is defined by sincerity, righteousness, and the state of the heart before God—not by group identity or comparison with others.

Is it just me or socials are boring?😑

I’ve been thinking about it for awhile now “if I make friends on random socials then it’ll be less boring?”

Do I have high standards for friendship and don’t connect with many people?

Talking for a few weeks and silence after is now normal?

I guess it is what it is
