I love a good revert story. Allah SWT can turn anyone's heart toward him. What influences made you want to take the shahada? Was it someone you met? Was it a situation that made you ponder life?

There are a lot of men vs. women pet peeves posted here, so I want to add one that isn’t gender-based. 😅
Why do people see me wearing a hijab and then ask if I’m Muslim? I do complete hair/neck coverage too.
I know technically headcoverings aren’t exclusive to Islam, but I live in America and hijabis are already pretty uncommon in my area. So far, every woman I’ve met locally who covers like this has been Muslim.
So when someone asks me that question, I’m always a little confused because… what answer are they expecting?
"Actually no, I’m just part of the secret local society of non-Muslim women casually walking around in hijabs." 😂
I understand that I am white but still... Do people really think hijab worn by a white woman is just her "fashion statement"?
