In 2022, Russian billionaire Roman Abramovic was forced to sell the Chelsea football club. The UK government threatened to sanction him after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
In 2026, Israel has killed more than 70,000 Palestinians. Sniped children waiting for humanitarian aid. Flattened and killed thousands in Southern Lebanon. Yet, at least 9 clubs in the Premier League are directly sponsored by companies complicit in Israel's atrocities. Including the recently crowned premier league champions: Arsenal.
Former Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp has sent LIVERPOOL A CLEAR WARNING ABOUT REPLACING MOHAMED SALAH THIS SUMMER.
Jurgen Klopp feels Liverpool will STRUGGLE to find anyone CAPABLE of REPLACING MOHAMED SALAH and insists the club should not "CHASE SHADOWS" in an attempt to recreate what he brought.
Salah is set to leave Anfield when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old forward has featured 441 times for the Reds, netting 257 goals while also providing 122 assists.
He secured legendary status on Merseyside and quickly established himself as a fan favourite after joining in 2017.
There has been widespread speculation regarding who might succeed Salah at Liverpool. Names linked with the role include West Ham's Jarrod Bowen, RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande and Bayern Munich's Michael Olise.
Yet former Liverpool manager Klopp has cautioned that the club will never truly replicate Salah's contribution. Speaking earlier this year after confirmation of Salah's upcoming departure, he explained: "If it is impossible, why should you try? Don't try to chase the shadows. Find a new way and play.
"I would not be surprised if he plays another six or seven years. He is an all-time great. This specific kind of player is irreplaceable.
"There will be a void that somebody will fill, but the specific player, Mo Salah? I'm not sure there is even another one existing out there. The numbers he produces as a winger are ridiculous."
Klopp added: "I had to process what it means that Mo goes. I am already looking from the outside, so I texted him what I thought. "I am really happy and proud that I was part of the whole journey. My God, what a player he is."
Still, the German acknowledged that the Egyptian can be difficult company whenever he is not finding the net. Klopp remarked: "Great team-mate, great guy - but not great company when he's not scoring. Special players are a challenge, but we never lost respect for each other. That is what I really like."
