Question for Muzz admin
If I delete Muzz and download Jamaa only app, will I loose all of my contacts on social side ? @shaz and @muzz

My marriage profile is off for ages and I have zero interest in keeping it.
The reason why I ask I do have clients and audience on this platform so don't I want to start from scratch again if I delete Muzz and download Jamaa only.

@shaz the amount of fake AI pictures I've come across on Muzz, I honestly can't understand how it's been allowed to be uploaded. Also there are many profiles out there where you can't see a clear face or the pictures/videos are of someone else 🫤 honestly nothing makes sense

The people we block shouldn't have access to comment on our posts. Their disgusting comments/toxicity is the exact thing we want to cut out of our sights. Pls see if y'all can make it happen. JazakAllah khair 🌻✨

My Muzz/Jamaa feed is more immodest than my Zuckerberg feeds.

The guideline "should be appropriate for our halal community" is obviously too vague, we need clear definitions.

Also, why not use machine learning to filter obvious violations before we have to see them?

Hey @shaz @muzz

If you’ve noticed there has been a growing problem of non Muslim infiltrating this app both on muzz and jamaa , there are many complaints about

I myself have come across so many Hindu profiles in muzz !!! 🤮

I acknowledge it’s a difficult technical issue to solve.

Here’s my proposal: why don’t you consider bringing in a referral system , where new users can only signup if current Muslim users refer them.

If any non Muslims sneak in, then you ban them and also ban the “Muslim” users who referred them.

I know this might impact your bottom line , but come on man!!!

Asalamualaikum,

I have already blocked the second match request by a Hindu on the marriage side of Muzz today, in less than an hour.

Can we please take some measure to ensure that they don't infiltrate a matrimonial app meant for MUSLIMS or has Muzz expanded it's user base to all humans under the sun in the name of business profits???

Please sort out the single word posts or posts with just one or two emojis.

They do not bring value. They dilute the content, push down genuine discussuons, and they devalue the experience Jamaa has to offer.

Please make a minimum word count (say a 10 word minimum would encourage people to put together at least one or two sentences) for posts or regulate the posts so this issue can be resolved.

💡 Feature Suggestion for Muzz & Jamaa

السلام علیکم ورحمۃاللہ وبرکاتہ
Shaz @shaz & Team,

I had a thought that could potentially improve transparency and help users get a better understanding of each other before matching.

Currently, Muzz profiles can be linked to Jamaa, which is great. However, I was wondering if it would be possible to allow users to optionally display their Jamaa profile directly on their Muzz profile.

Many users who are active on Muzz also have Jamaa accounts, but often their Jamaa activity reveals more about their personality, interests, communication style, values, reflections, and overall character than what can fit into a marriage profile alone.

Since Jamaa is essentially a Muslim social platform where Muslims connect, discuss ideas, and share perspectives, having an optional "View Jamaa Profile" feature could provide:

✅ Greater transparency
✅ More authentic insight into a person's personality
✅ Better compatibility assessment
✅ More informed matching decisions

Of course, this should be completely optional because not everyone may wish to share their Jamaa activity publicly.

But for users who are comfortable with it, I think it could be a valuable addition and help people see the person beyond the marriage profile.

Just a thought from a long-time Muzz user 😄

Jazakum Allahu khayran for continuously improving the platform.

🤍

@shaz What are your safeguarding measures, in particular to protect female members of Muzz from male members who were accused of violence and harassment towards women and children IRL? I know that accusation doesn't automatically mean guilt, but many of us sisters are feeling very uncomfortable.

Earlier today, a sister in Sisters on Muzz warned us about a member who was publicly accused of murdering his wife in the media just a year ago. He's currently in a different location and going by a different spelling of his name. Other sisters regularly warn us about their physically abusive ex-husbands on this app. And I myself have come across a member who is obviously in prison judging by his profile pictures.

I understand it's not feasible to do background checks on every person who signs up. But if we report marriage profiles of those accused of serious crimes with proof, will Muzz ban them? Or does a person have to be convicted of the crime in order for Muzz to take action? Or will Muzz do absolutely nothing?
