What is the most heartbreakingly beautiful line you’ve ever read in a book?
Mine is the famous ending from The Great Gatsby:
"So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

This and a good book on a sunny day.

Aye, Mandinka mentioned ✌🏾🇬🇲 🇸🇳 ✨!
On a serious note, though, this book is enlightening me on so many things about the education system in the U.S..
My whole life, I thought I was genuinely dumb. And maybe I can be or I am, for sure. But A LOT of that can be attributed to the fact that we genuinely were NOT taught about certain things, at least in my county, and reading this is making me realize why. It’s messed up. Our school system has always been messed up. I already knew that, but I didn’t know how deep the racism within the system went until I read this. It’s freaking insane.
Original Sins by Eve L. Ewing, ya’ll. Please read it if you can. Even if you don’t live in the U.S., because at least it can give some form of reason as to why the U.S. is known to have such a messed up education system.
I’m pissed…

Latest read. I loved most of it contents but if it was a female author, I’m sure I would have loved every bit of it.
Has anyone here read this book 📖

There’s a Japanese saying:
“If you feel like you’re losing everything, remember, trees lose their leaves every year, yet they still stand tall and wait for better days to come.”
