Let’s have an honest conversation about expectations in marriage.

Lately, it seems like the standard checklist from women is everywhere: “I need a man who is respectful, financially responsible, loving, provides everything, and treats me like a queen.”
And absolutely, men should be all of those things. That is their Islamic duty. But what happened to the other half of the conversation?
Marriage isn't a one-way street where one person does all the giving and the other does all the receiving. If you are expecting high-level respect, love, and effort from a man, you have to ask yourself: What are you bringing to the table to match that? Are you ready to offer the same level of respect, peace, and emotional support in return?

A successful marriage is a partnership of two people constantly giving and receiving. Expecting everything from the guy while offering nothing but your presence isn't a partnership—it's a transaction.

Let's normalize holding both sides accountable. If we want high-value partners, we need to be high-value partners ourselves.
What do you think? Has modern culture made marriage expectations too one-sided?

Love is not something you find. Love is something that finds you.

A peaceful marriage isn't built by two perfect people—it's built by two people who choose to understand each other every single day. 🤍

What do you believe creates peace between a husband and wife?

For me, peace in a marriage comes from understanding, respect, and honest communication. Couples don't have to agree on everything, but they should always make an effort to understand one another, support each other through every season, and choose kindness—even in difficult moments. That's what builds a strong, lasting, and peaceful relationship. ✨

Hello everyone...So I've got a question which has two parts .. for girls ..what do you do if the person starts talking to you romantically after two days..? For boys .. what do you do when the girl you're talking to asks for money after two days .. Stay happy ...🪷Hello everyone, this has happened for the second time. Previously, I had a conversation with a girl, and in the end, she started asking me to send money. Today, I had another interaction with a profile where the person even sent me photos and spoke with me on a voice call. She then told me that she urgently needed money and promised to return it by tomorrow. I am completely finished with this app; I have no desire to communicate with women online anymore."

A question for the ladies:

What matters most to you when choosing a life partner?

A kind, genuine, and respectful person.
A wealthy man with a bungalow and a large bank balance.
A man who will stand by you through both good and difficult times.
A man who believes in growing together and building a future as a team.

I’m genuinely trying to understand today’s priorities. It feels like 10–15 years ago, marriages were often based more on character, compatibility, and family values. Over the past 8–10 years, expectations seem to have increased alongside age and financial standards.

At the end of the day, no one knows what the future holds. Trust in Allah, value good character, and choose a partner with whom you can build a peaceful and meaningful life together.
