Bringing together the Black Muslim community from all across the world 🌍
Asalam alikum warahmatulah wabarakatu,
I've spoke to a few brothers here didn't match masha'Allah.
I want to say this...as a Muslimah, I really cared for these men, as my brothers in Islam. We didn't have to match for me to care and just because we didn't match doesn't mean I don't like you lol. I wish I could just advise some men here because so many are hurting 😞
But keep your head up brothers and work on healing so you can be your best self for when your match comes insha'Allah!
POV: You're stressing about tomorrow while Allah already wrote your story before you were born.
Tie your camel.
Make dua.
Trust Allah.
Tawakkul isn't doing nothingit's doing your best and leaving the rest to Allah.♥️
Peace be upon you and God's mercy. I came here with the intention of getting married.
Don’t forget to do your “lower your expectations” exercises three times a day
if you make it four times would be even better🙂🌚💔
I’m genuinely trying to understand different points of view here.
It makes sense to me why a strictly practicing brother would set his filters for hijabi/jilbabi/niqabi.
What I don’t understand is why some strictly practicing brothers exclude niqabi from their search.
I always check the other person’s filters before I like, and I’ve noticed this with some brothers.
Is it because of where they live, society, or family pressure?
Or is it a personal preference about their wife not covering her face?
And just to be clear: I don’t regret my niqab for one second. I love it, Alhamdulillah.
I’m asking out of curiosity to learn how different people think, not to argue.
I think women should normalize putting a full picture on their page for someone like me who don’t like asking someone for their pictures because they might not like it.
