Who is coming to ICNA West Convention in the Bay Area this weekend?

I’ll be joining for the second time this year. There are so many great Islamic lectures and activities to choose from.

I joined the matrimonial event last year, but almost everyone there was in their 20s so this year I’m planning to spend my time at the other events instead.

There’s also a large marketplace where you can shop for modest clothing, jewelry, Islamic books, and a variety of other Islamic products. Plus, there are food stalls serving a wide selection of hot meals.

If you’re in the Bay Area, don’t miss!

Salam! I’m visiting SF from this Thursday-Wednesday from CT for work — I don’t know anyone out there and would love to connect with other women in the community :) I’m also hoping to plan a trip to Yosemite if anyone wants to join!

Dr. Yasir Qadhi released a lecture not too long ago saying colonialism is responsible for dividing the Muslims into all of the groups they are following now. The ultra conservatives, the liberals with many groups in them and or course the more spiritual Muslims. If anyone has any thoughts, from an academic level, on how this worked...they would be appreciated. Meaning, simply put, how did the 'powers that be' separate Muslims into 'conservative' and 'liberal' Muslims? It is a bit tough to understand currently. God knows best.
