@AR007
People get offended by things way too easily these days, and they assume that if you laugh at a stereotype, you’re a racist. I met up with a Pashtun girl who I connected with on this app. We we’re having a great conversation and I made a lighthearted remark about Pathans and their anger management issues and boom the atmosphere changed. I thought it was the kind of playful stereotype people from every culture joke about. Instead, she got noticeably offended and asked why I'd say something like that.
I told her, "If I actually disliked Pashtuns, why would I be sitting here with one?" My joke wasn't about thinking Pashtuns were lesser people-it was about a stereotype that even plenty of Pashtuns joke about themselves. We moved past that part but the atmosphere was noticeably different from where we began. We ended the date respectfully but when I checked my WhatsApp, I was blocked 😂.
She was a great person, but people just don’t understand that humour works because it exaggerates the little quirks, habits, and clichés people recognize about other people. You can genuinely respect people from every background while still laughing at the funny stereotypes they've often joked about themselves.

If you had to describe your marriage search experience as a food, what would it be? 😁
Mine is lukewarm biryani – looks great, smells great, somehow disappointing every time.

Salaam,
I'm looking for pancake recommendations! Please drop your favorite spot for pancakes. Preferably in or around downtown Toronto, but I'm open to recommendations anywhere in the GTA.
Thanks!
@Nora23
Been on this app for 3 months without much luck yet but I realize that part of it is just due to how particular I am in what I’m looking for but at the same time, I don’t want to settle easily. I’ve been contemplating whether to try upgrading to gold membership or not bother or should I consider trying an app like Salams and go with paid option there? However, I feel like I prefer Muzz though as I hear Salams is owned by Zionists too and I wouldn’t want to pay for the app and support that. Or should I not bother to pay for either? I recently tried Inpairs but was honestly disappointed. Felt like I paid for nothing. First potential they provided was in another province and the second didn’t meet what I was looking for and they were supposed to provide a 3rd option but didn’t so I basically got nothing out of my one month subscription and planning to cancel it.

Plans for the weekend? And ideas for plans for the weekend?
Keep getting banned from Muslim marriage subreddits. Ragebaiting is fun.
