As someone working on climate and energy advocacy, while also being a parent, the topic of climate-anxiety is one that I have been thinking about a lot lately. As children become increasingly aware of climate impacts (as well as other environmental and social problems) they can feel fearful and anxious about the future. It is so important for parents and educators to have conversations with children about these issues. Here is an article from UNICEF to learn more, but also happy to share some additional educational resources for anyone interested.

He liked my profile, but his bio says he won't relocate to another country. My bio also clearly says I won't relocate because of my work.
So I'm just wondering... why like my profile in the first place?
If I accept the like, we start chatting, then I'll end up repeating what's already written in my bio. I won't relocate. If someone wants to build a future with me, he has to be willing to come to Malaysia because my career is here.
That's why I just don't accept the match.
And there's another thing...
Some men put in their bio that they're willing to relocate. I accept the like, we chat for a few days, then suddenly they tell me they actually can't relocate.
So... why put that in your bio if it's not true?
Guys, please read a woman's bio before sending a like. It'll save both of us a lot of time.
And please make sure your own bio is accurate too. Don't say you can relocate if you already know you can't.
We don't need to waste days chatting only to find out we're not compatible because of something that was already in the bio.
Honesty from day one makes everything much easier for both sides.

I was having breakfast alone and the table next to me, a young couple with two kids was about to enjoy their food when the youngest a boy, sitting on a baby chair about 4 year old was throwing a mild tantrum refusing to eat. The parents were giving cold stares and scowling at him trying to control their shrieking child in the middle of a bustling restaurant. It was actually quite funny to watch, because just 7-8 years ago I was them with my smaller kids, trying to eat without getting a heart attack. Suddenly the husband looked up and caught my amused face, he started to break character and laugh. His wife joined too apologizing and we all laughed.

My children are grown now but I always dream how I could meet a singledad with a small kid Iike that, well maybe without so much of that tantrum. I'd love to repeat coloring books, legos and sing old mcdonalds farm.
