Sufi? Want to grow your spiritual side? Talk with other sufis here
I have noticed that there is discrimination against us who are on the Path of Sufism... It is really discouraging at times but Allah knows better. Alhamdullilah
I partake in Mawlids as long as it stays halal. People who shoot it down just because "the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ didn't do it" are being inconsistent. They happily pray Taraweeh (the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ prayed it alone some nights, but the organized full Quran version came under Umar R.A.), the madhhabs in fiqh, the whole science of hadith grading, were not found in the earliest generations. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself used to fast on Mondays, and when asked why, he said it was because he was born on that day, showing he marked and honored the day of his own birth. Abu Lahab, one of the Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ harshest enemies: on the day he heard news of the blessed birth, he freed a slave girl out of joy and was later seen in a dream getting relief in the Fire, with water flowing from his finger as a small mercy for his act. If even an enemy like him got some respite for celebrating the birth of the beloved ﷺ in his limited way, how much more is for the believers who do it with pure intention?
Most of the souls I meet here who are on this path of tazkiyah seem to be either oceans away or walking through a different season of life. At times, it brings a quiet sadness, as I can sense how beautifully our values align and how easily we might have understood one another.
Yet each encounter leaves me with a gift: a deeper certainty about the kind of companion I am seeking. The wonderful people I have crossed paths with, however briefly, have only affirmed the qualities I hope to find in a partner.
So I continue to trust that somewhere, there is a heart searching for what I am searching for, and a soul making du’a for what I am making du’a for. Allah knows the longing I carry and the hope I hold for my king. May He unite us at the right time, in the most beautiful way. Ameen. 🤲🏻
“Whatever happens in your life, no matter how troubling things might seem, do not enter the neighborhood of despair. Even when all doors remain closed, God will open up a new path for you. Be thankful! It is easy to be grateful when all is well. A Sufi is thankful not only for what he has been given but also for all that he has been denied.”

Where are the enlightened Muslims? I see sad Muslims, bitter Muslims, hopeless Muslims, contentious Muslims, lonely Muslims. Many people bow their heads in prayer but how many do you personally know who exhibit a true sense of joy, wisdom, and bliss? Who understand the rules but don’t apply an overly legalistic framework that reduces religion to a set of do’s and don’t’s and the assertion of their rights? Who meditate and have a sense of calm and tranquility about them?
Some lady here wanted to speak with a sufi and as soon she has seen a map with lataif on the wall behind me she freaked out like she was the spanish inquisition and i was a freaking sorrcerer, wizzard, demon summoner, friend of shaitan etc lol
Where are the people of tassawuf … wouldn’t it be easier if we had a marriage site dedicated to people on the path. I’m losing hope on Muzz . 🤷🏻♀️
Its common to be rejected by a muslim man or woman on the pure grounds that you are a sufi. In regards to marriage they should both be on the same path
Origins of Sufism
If you look at Sahih al Bukhari, the book of ar riqaq (softening of the hearts), book of character and book of zuhd. that's what tassawuf or tazkiya is. it has had many names in history like softening the heart, refining character etc.
You will find sections like that in the 6 collections and outside of those like Tabrani and Bayhaqi.
Al Adab Al Mufrad by Imam Bukhari covers this science as well. It has developed over the years and some of the biggest hadith scholars like Imam Nawawi and Imam Suyuti have written books on it aswell.
It's a science from the sciences of islam just like aqeedah, fiqh, tafsir etc. It's the way to reach Ihsan and Khushoo, in this day and age when people have become so deluded and lost in the dunya, it's essential to wake the heart up again.

But the heart remains unmoved"
