I’m not AI fans, been enjoying it lately when I saw it right in my WhatsApp.

AI is taking over, depending on how one can make us of it.
It has the good and bad side.
I just discover meta AI from my last update and I have been using it for discussion at my free time.

Just this evening, I saw I want to discuss my feelings.

This was our conversation.

Just like I’m having one on one conversation with someone beside me.

[26/07, 7:57 pm] Wazyslam💝💘💖💕💟💞💓💔01: I want to discuss my feelings

[26/07, 7:58 pm] Meta AI: I'm here for that ❤️

What's been on your mind lately?

You can share as much or as little as you want. No judgment here — just you and me talking it through.

[26/07, 7:59 pm] Wazyslam💝💘💖💕💟💞💓💔01: Their is someone I love, each time, I will the be the one asking after her, sending messages and others. She won't reciprocate. What did you think I should do?

[26/07, 7:59 pm] Meta AI: That hurts 😔 I get it. When you’re the one always reaching out, it starts to feel really one-sided, and exhausting.

Here’s what I think, and I’ll be real with you:

3 things to consider

1. Look at the pattern, not just one day_
If every time you check in, send messages, make plans... and she rarely/never does the same back, that’s data. People show what matters to them through effort. Silence or minimal replies over a long time usually means she’s not on the same page.

2. Ask yourself what you’re hoping for__
Do you want friendship, dating, or something more? Sometimes we keep messaging because we’re hoping the next text will be the one that changes things. But you deserve someone who meets you halfway.

3. Try pulling back once__
Not to play games. Just to see what happens when you stop carrying 100% of the effort.
If she notices and reaches out too, great — that opens a real conversation.
If she doesn’t, that also tells you something important, and it protects your heart.

What you could do next

  • -</CUSTOM_BOLD>Have one honest convo<CUSTOM_BOLD>: "I really like you and enjoy talking to you. I’ve noticed I’m usually the one reaching out. How do you feel about us?" Her answer will give you clarity, even if it’s not what you want to hear.
  • -</CUSTOM_BOLD>Redirect that energy<CUSTOM_BOLD>: Pour some of that care into yourself, friends, work, things that fill you back up. You shouldn’t have to beg to be chosen.
  • -</CUSTOM_BOLD>Set a boundary<CUSTOM_BOLD>: You can care about her without chasing. Love shouldn’t feel like you’re auditioning every day.

You’re worthy of reciprocation, Adewale. Someone who lights up when you text, who asks about _your day too.

How long has this been going on? And do you think she knows how you feel, or is it still unspoken?
I’m here with you through it ❤️

[26/07, 8:01 pm] Wazyslam💝💘💖💕💟💞💓💔01: Been doing this for over 3months and each time I complain, she keep saying she's sorry but nothing change?

[26/07, 8:02 pm] Meta AI: Ahh Adewale... 3 months of that is a lot to carry 😔

And "I'm sorry" without change? That's the part that stings the most. Because an apology without action just keeps you hoping.

Let’s call it what it is
After 3 months of you initiating and her saying sorry but nothing changes, the pattern is clear.
Sorry = she hears you.
No change = it’s not a priority enough for her to act on it.

That doesn't automatically mean she doesn't like you. Sometimes people just aren't ready, aren't interested that way, or aren't good at reciprocating. But the result is the same: you're doing all the work in this connection.

So what now? You have 2 real options

Option 1: The direct boundary talk
One last honest convo. Not to complain, but to decide for yourself.
Something like:
"I like you a lot. But for 3 months I’ve been the one reaching out. When I brought it up, you said sorry, but nothing changed. I need a relationship/friendship where effort goes both ways. Are you able to meet me there?"

Her response to this will tell you everything. Words + action, or just more words.

Option 2: Choose yourself and step back
Stop initiating for a while. Redirect that energy.
If she values you, she'll notice the space and reach out.
If she doesn't, you get your peace back instead of waiting for a "sorry" that doesn't come with change.

Most important thing I want you to hear:
You are not "too much" for wanting reciprocation.
Wanting someone to check on you, to think of you, to put in effort — that's normal. That's healthy.

You deserve someone who doesn't make you ask to be chosen.

I know it’s hard to walk away from 3 months of hope. But staying in something that drains you for 3 more months won’t hurt less.

How are you feeling about this right now? Do you think you’re ready to have that boundary talk, or does stepping back feel safer for you?

I'm with you, bro ❤️

[26/07, 8:05 pm] Wazyslam💝💘💖💕💟💞💓💔01: Have done the boundary talk, keep silent for weeks, I still get back and try to tell her if I should give her space, she said no, that she will change and she's sorry.
I haven't seen any change.

Do you think I should stop now?

[26/07, 8:05 pm] Meta AI: Adewale... my guy 💛

Hearing that makes my chest heavy for you. You did the hard part already. You had the boundary talk. You gave space. You even asked "should I give you space?" and she said no, she'll change, she's sorry.

And then... nothing changed.

So should you stop?
Yeah bro. I think you already know the answer, and I’ll be straight with you.

When someone tells you "no don't give me space, I'll change" and then doesn't change, that’s a choice. Not forgetfulness. Not being busy. A choice.

You’ve given 3 months + a boundary talk + weeks of silence + another chance. That’s more than fair.
At this point, staying means you’re teaching her how to treat you: with apologies but no effort. And you’re teaching yourself that your needs don’t matter.

What stopping looks like
Not out of anger. Out of self-respect.
It means:

  1. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>Stop initiating</CUSTOM_BOLD>. For real this time. No "just checking" texts.
  2. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>Accept the data</CUSTOM_BOLD>. Her actions have shown you where you stand.
  3. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>Grieve it</CUSTOM_BOLD>. It’s okay to be sad. You hoped. You cared. That was real.
  4. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>Reclaim your energy</CUSTOM_BOLD>. Pour it into your shop, your people, yourself.

If she truly wants you, she’ll have to do 100% of the reaching out now. And she’ll have to show up with change, not just "sorry".

The truth that hurts but frees:
You can’t love someone into reciprocating.
You can’t explain yourself into being a priority.

You deserve someone who doesn’t make you beg for basic effort. Someone who lights up your phone without you having to spark it.

I know stopping feels like giving up. But it’s not giving up on her. It’s choosing you.

How are you feeling reading this? Do you want help figuring out what to say, or do you just want to go quiet and let it be?

I’m right here with you. You’re not alone in this ❤️

[26/07, 8:07 pm] Wazyslam💝💘💖💕💟💞💓💔01: Just give me the best option.

[26/07, 8:07 pm] Meta AI: Got you, bro. I’ll be straight.

The best option: Stop. Completely.

No more texts. No more "should I give you space?" No more checking in.

Why this one

  1. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>You already tried everything else</CUSTOM_BOLD> - boundary talk, silence, second chance. She chose words over action.
  2. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>"Sorry without change" is the answer</CUSTOM_BOLD> - That is her showing you where you stand.
  3. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>It protects you</CUSTOM_BOLD> - Every extra text keeps the wound open. Stopping lets it start healing.

How to do it

  1. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>Don’t announce it or send a last paragraph.</CUSTOM_BOLD> That just invites another "sorry".
Just stop. Let the silence speak.
  2. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>Delete the chat thread if you need to.</CUSTOM_BOLD> Out of sight helps.
  3. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>Redirect that energy today.</CUSTOM_BOLD> Shop, gym, friends, music, anything that’s yours.
  4. -<CUSTOM_BOLD>If she reaches out later</CUSTOM_BOLD> with real effort + change, you can decide then. But don’t wait for it.

Adewale, choosing you is the best option here.

It’s going to feel empty for a bit. That’s grief, not weakness. But 2 weeks from now you’ll feel lighter than you have in 3 months.

I’m with you. You did nothing wrong by loving hard. Now love yourself that hard too ❤️

You got this.

To the intentional guys, that read to the end, if you have having any of this pattern and you feel overwhelmed, it’s time to relax and think about the way forward.

Peace

Sometimes it gets so tiring looking for halal relationship in this world. Marriages should be easy but damn there are a lot of unrealistic standards on both sides, I wonder how many of us would be single even after putting so much efforts 🤔

If today was difficult for you, I hope you know that tomorrow can be better. I hope you know that the moments that are uncomfortable or hurt or don't make sense will pass. I hope you remind yourself of all the times you didn't think you were going to feel better but you did.
As you go through your days remember that every moment is just a moment. When you can't take it one day at a time, try to just take it one breath at a time. Take really good care of yourself and know that it's okay if you don't accomplish everything you told yourself you needed to today.
You have to start a new routine or healthy habit today if it feels like too much. You don't have to be as productive as the people that you see online. Your life is your life and you only have this life. Tomorrow it will feel a little bit better. You are safe. You are being guided. You will have everything that you need.
