I returned to this app after a few weeks and I am not disappointed.

It is still the same familiar names and faces rage baiting each other. I feel like we've turned this place into this little hub for validation. We mostly only interact with people on everything minus the intention to find someone who will embrace us with our flaws and still cherish us for the time we have left with each other.

Salam everyone,

I'm trying to identify a soz/marsiya I heard as a child in a majlis about Bibi Zainab (s.a.) and the sufferings of the Aseer-e-Karbala in the darbar of Yazid (l.a.). I've never been able to find it since, and I'd be so grateful if anyone recognizes it.

The lines I remember are Yazid speaking, ordering the captives to be paraded through the doors of his darbar:

"Darbar mein saat darwaze hain,
har aik darwaze se lana tum,
tum jitna satao ge unko,
utna nawazun ga tum ko"

دربار میں سات دروازے ہیں
ہر اک دروازے سے لانا تم
تم جتنا ستاؤ گے ان کو
اتنا نوازوں گا تم کو

(My memory of the exact wording may be slightly off.)

If anyone knows the poet, the full kalam, or even a recording (old cassette uploads, YouTube, anything), please share. It would mean a lot — this soz has stayed with me since childhood.

JazakAllah khair, and please remember the Aseer-e-Karbala in your duas.

Salam

I have a question to desi Shia
I saw a video of a lady saying that before she’d travel her mom would “tie imam-e-zaman on her wrist” and I didn’t understand what that means.
Can someone explain that please?

Thanks 🙏🏼
