Syed Ali Khamenei consistently emphasized the importance of reading books and acquiring knowledge as essential elements of individual and social development. He believed that books are the primary means through which knowledge, culture, and values are preserved and passed from one generation to the next.

According to him, reading enriches the mind, broadens one's perspective, and develops the ability to think critically and make informed decisions. He particularly encouraged young people to cultivate the habit of reading, regarding it as a lifelong source of learning and self-improvement.

Through books, scientific discoveries, historical experiences, religious teachings, and literary achievements were recorded and transmitted across generations.

In his view, a society that valued books and the pursuit of knowledge was better equipped to preserve its cultural identity, promote intellectual progress, and contribute to the advancement of humanity.

Assalamu Alaykum, everyone

New to the app, new to the board.

I was born and raised Shia - so I was well aware of all the biases our community faced. I remember not disclosing that I was Shia, unless I knew the other person was too.

Fast-forward, and I’ve returned to the religion and I’m so proud of our faith. I have no doubts. I’m on the right path. 

My question is, despite the fact that Iran is showing to the world that it is the only country willing to fight against the Cabal of Satan, a.k.a. Israel, and the Epstein Class, do you see that most Muslims still hold onto their prejudice and ignorance about Shias?

Do you see people softening up and putting down some of their bigotry?

Imam Ali ibn Talib (a.s.) said:

Knowledge is better than wealth. Knowledge guards you, while you guard wealth.
Wealth decreases as you spend it, but knowledge increases the more you use it.

In Nahj al-Balagha, Imam Ali ibn Talib (a.s.) said:

"He who knows humanity seeks/prefers solitude."

Sayyed Imam Ali Khamenei said:

"I may die, but I will never bow down."

"Kill me, the war will not end. You are not fighting a man, but a nation defending its dignity."

"If the whole world turns against you but your connection with Allah remains, then Allah alone is sufficient for you."

And do not say about those killed in the way of Allah,

but you do not perceive.

Any Shia girl looking for someone to marry

Salaam everyone,

I’m a 37-year-old Shia brother from the Houston area. It’s been almost a year since my Islamic divorce after a 14-year marriage. Alhamdulillah, I have two children whom I love dearly. They primarily live with their mother.

Since my divorce, I’ve been trying my best to stay close to Allah, avoid haram, and continue improving myself. Alhamdulillah, I was blessed to perform Umrah and Ziyarat within the past year. My long-term goal is still permanent marriage, inshaAllah. However, I also value companionship, kindness, and emotional support while remaining within halal boundaries.

I’m wondering if there are any sisters who are genuinely open to Mut’ah for companionship and mutual respect. I’m not looking for anything casual or dishonest. I’m looking for someone who values deen, honesty, and treating one another with dignity.

May Allah make it easy for all of us who are searching and guide us to what is best. Jazakum Allahu khayran.
