789K views · 148K reactions | It’s funny because we’ve actually lived through both sides of this. A lot of it came from how society teaches us what a man’s job is and what a woman’s job is. But it also came from the fact that my husband grew up in a household where a lot was done for him, so when we became parents, we had to learn and unlearn a lot together. This post comes from our real experience navigating marriage, parenthood, and figuring out what partnership actually looks like. When I was on maternity leave, I found myself carrying the majority of the mental load and invisible labour. And honestly, that contributed more to my depression than motherhood itself. Looking back, it was never really the children that felt overwhelming. It was feeling like I was responsible for everything that nobody else could see. The planning.
The remembering.
The organising.
The anticipating.
The constant thinking ahead. Things changed when we started seeing ourselves as a team instead of falling into traditional roles. We’ve both grown so much through the years, and I’m incredibly grateful that we found our way together. We’re not perfect, but we’re learning, communicating, and showing up for each other. Because marriage and parenthood were never meant to be carried by one person. The best version of family life happens when both people share the load. 🤍 I hope conversations like this encourage us to think differently about the example we’re setting for the next generation🤍 #manchild #motherhood #invisibleload #motherhoodthroughinstagram #marriage | ️ 𝙷 𝙾 𝚄 𝚂 𝙴 𝙾 𝙵 𝚈 𝙾 𝙾 𝙽 𝙸 ️

Can someone explain why as a gold member I’ll have to pay £9.99 to see users in a different country? And this is only for 24 hours.

@shaz ? Seems like a rip off.

The amount of hatred people are developing for each other and amount of shock I'm in is that people aren't really bad/wrong, everybody has their own perspective and they are right in their own place.
There is so much confusion and how to find people that have your perspective of looking into things.

When a girl and a boy become comfortable with each other they usually share their photos. So why do not you send your real picture? Why do you send filtered photos instead? After talking for so long rejecting someone just because of their appearance does not seem fair. Its much better to share an unfiltered genuine photo from the beginning. There have been many marriages that eventually ended because of such issues. Honesty, loyalty, and good character are the qualities that truly stay with you for life.

Marriage is not about finding the perfect perso, it's about loving each other perfectly through every imperfect day. .❤️
