i might be an idiot. I genuinely have stayed halal my whole life in terms of dating. Never dated or anything always kept myself from it knowing I wasnt going to get married so didnt want unnecessary sins or it to lead to haram.

The issue with it is that because of it, the one guy I truly liked who liked me back who I never dated due to this (i was a teenager) stuck with me for years after and I still continued to like him. I liked him throughout school days, maybe from 13-18 and it lingered. We kept in contact but never dated and I remained liking him..even up till I was 23z

He moved on, Im pretty sure he has dated people so it makes sense. But it feels like I never did move on. Eventually I learnt that the hard way.
