Asalam alaikum everybody, I hope the week has started ouT well for everyone.

So I asked a CHAM friend (the ethnically Vietnamese, malaysian, Cambodian, Thai etc born Muslims) friend if they knew of any CHAM friends looking for a husband.

They said that many CHAM people wouldn't like me due to race. This is surprising to me as I'm southern Chinese blood and the Cham people seem mostly Vietnamese which is very similar genetically to my people....not sure what to do

I get rejected by pakistani/Indian/Arab, etc people for my race and I'm maxed out for career, pretty much maxed out for income, work out consistently, go to masjid as much as possible, attend a converts tafsir consistently

I'll meet a ton of converts who had dated Arab boyfriends for yrs who then make their shahadah to make their union halal.

It's frustrating since I want to do things halal but the easiest way may be to have a girlfriend and then convert her in a yr.

It's also disheartening because these people so focused on ethnicity (p.s., southern Chinese and Viet is literally almost the same) are being so hypocritical focusing on minute differences and not on the person's taqwa/character.

I honestly believe that my Christian friends were more god fearing than Muslims I know considering the fact that Muslims actually received the correct message.

But cie la vie. Still considering going abroad for 5-6 months in the near future to meet people without weird standards. (I want a guy who can live abroad, do the van life, is a gym rat, rich, can work remotely, is always in the mosque, etc etc)

One of the most profound teachings of Islam on marriage is found in a single hadith.

The Prophet ﷺ mentioned four qualities people look for in a spouse: wealth, beauty, lineage, and religion.

Notice something remarkable.

Three are visible.
One is unseen.

Beauty attracts the eyes.
Wealth attracts the desires.
Lineage attracts the ego.

But faith…
Faith is something the eyes cannot truly measure.

It is known through sincerity, character, worship and the fear of Allah hidden within the heart.

Perhaps this is no coincidence.

Islam itself begins by teaching us to believe in the unseen.

“This is the Book… a guidance for those who believe in the unseen.” (Qur’an 2:2–3)

The world trains us to chase what we can see.
Islam trains us to trust what Allah values, even when the world cannot see it.

Maybe that is why the Prophet ﷺ concluded:

“Choose the one with religion and you will prosper.”

Beauty fades.
Wealth comes and goes.
Family names are inherited.

But faith, when it is sincere continues to guide a marriage long after everything else has changed.

Perhaps the crisis of modern marriage is not that people divorce too easily.

Perhaps it is that many have begun choosing with their eyes before choosing with their faith.

True story.

I talked to another woman on Muzz, we talked for a week, she insisted me to marry her in the next 3 months and wanted a rather big dowry.

I said I am down. Then she started asking for money and jewelry before we even met. I can just give her the money, but when I asked for ID, she did not reply.

What a gold digger. Just give me the ID and I will give the money.

I hate a woman with no integrity, please stay away from me and my money you cheap stuff.

I am here not for game!!!
