If he’s completely a green flag for marriage
Is there any compulsion we should get feelings , all that love too n talking 24/7 , having that one person on mind all the time or with complete faith , believe and equal respect we can proceed further ?

Someone promised to return after a month away.
We were fine before.
I've been patiently waiting.
But he hasn't returned yet.
Should I let go and open my heart to someone else?

Marriage in Islam is not built on feelings alone. It is built on responsibility, mercy, sacrifice, patience, respect, and mutual rights. Both the husband and the wife are commanded by Allah to fulfill their obligations with sincerity and excellence.
Allah says:
“And among His signs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves so that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy.”
(Qur’an 30:21)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best of you are those who are best to their wives, and I am the best of you to my wives.”
(Jami’ at-Tirmidhi 3895)
Today, many people have made marriage unnecessarily difficult with excessive expectations, while at the same time, sins that Allah has forbidden have become normalized and easily accessible.
The Prophet ﷺ warned:
“When a person whose religion and character please you comes to you (seeking marriage), then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation in the land and widespread corruption.”
(Jami’ at-Tirmidhi 1084)
Allah commands:
“Marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male and female servants. If they are poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty.”
(Qur’an 24:32)
And regarding unlawful relationships, Allah says:
“Do not even approach zina. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and an evil way.”
(Qur’an 17:32)
It is heartbreaking to see a society where some people reject a simple, halal marriage while falling into what Allah has clearly prohibited. This is not a criticism of one gender alone—both men and women are accountable before Allah. We should feel sadness for any believer who chooses sin over what Allah has made lawful.
May Allah make halal easy for us, protect us from zina, grant us righteous spouses, and fill our marriages with sakīnah (tranquility), mawaddah (love), and raḥmah (mercy). Āmīn.
