So... I just read about Vera Lúcia da Silva, a woman who was 🔫 by her ex-husband in front of their daughter, and whose corpse was then 🍇 by two men and one teenage boy at the cemetery a couple of months ago, and now I'm rethinking letting a male stranger into my life.

Monday message: Be a reason for someone's “alhumdolillah” today.

Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or remove one of his troubles, or forgive his debt, or feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.”

In this economy, as a single mom, I’m always trying to do my best in life so I don’t have any regrets. Like, I keep working on improving my own value.

Even though I have a pretty stable job, right now I’m starting to look for freelance remote work too, just to get more experience and learn new things. For me, it’s never too late to learn and grow your skills in any field. No matter how slow it is, I really believe every effort we put in will bring something positive into our lives.
