Yesterday I watched Neymar break down in tears..Today I watched Cristiano Ronaldo cry. Then I found myself crying too.
It's heartbreaking watching the player I grew up idolising walk off the biggest stage knowing their World Cup dream is over. Seeing Ronaldo, a player who inspired an entire generation, realise he'll never lift the World Cup trophy is something football fans will never forget.
What makes it even harder is that he was knocked out by a player I support every week in the Premier League. Football can be so beautiful, but moments like this remind you just how cruel it can be 💔😭
