Let’s be better online

1 Freedom of speech protects your right to speak. It doesn’t automatically make what you say ethical or worth saying.

2 Being on social media isn’t a blanket consent for strangers to dissect every or any aspect of someone’s personal life.

3 Truth alone doesn’t justify disclosure. Some things can be true and still deserve privacy.

4 Context matters. Discussing public actions is different from dissecting someone’s private life.

5 Ethics go beyond legality. “Can I say it?” and “Should I say it?” are different questions.

6 I don’t remember the last one….had it in my mind for a while but….whatever

Since you know consideration is the highest form of love, how come you never consider yourself?

People are quick to have strong opinions behind a blank profile. If you won’t put your identity behind your words, don’t expect those words to carry much weight.

The Ummah is increasingly disappointing.

So many men try to attack me for not wearing a hijab, or question why I don't wear it.

Just an example of a lot I received before: my last video, they text me for say: where’s the hijab?

First of all, it's none of your business. It's my life, and I know my circumstances and decisions.

Secondly, worry about covering your own Awrah.

I see many men with their wives covered from head to toe, while they wear mini-shorts. They should be ashamed.

Because yes, you forget that you have an awrah to cover, and that modesty isn't for just one gender.
