There’s a random guy in my DMs asking, Did it hurt you?
…What hurt me?
The world? Men? Their weird opening lines? Elaichi in my biryani? The post-shower dust? The Berberi goat finding her bakra before I found mine? Her adorable little baby? My lower back? My gym DOMS? My unhinged thought process? A stone? Air? Gravity? Your message?
Brother, you’re going to have to be a little more specific. I’m working with an extensive list of possibilities here.

Do you really know what do you know? Or you just here to find outb

It’s been months since I took a walk with my siblings, and today even my brother joined in, which was a very pleasant surprise.
I had forgotten how much I missed post-dinner walks. As kids, we’d go on little summer walks with my dad, and they almost always ended with mango juice. Man, I miss that nostalgia.
We don’t end our walks with juice anymore, and my dad doesn’t come along anymore either. But I still love being out there with my sister, having the most random conversations and discussing absolutely anything and everything under the sky.
Some things change, but somehow the feeling stays.
At one point, we found ourselves asking the Berberi goat our neighbours keep for tips on how to find a good bakra. She has always been a single occupant and now has a baby Berberi, so clearly she knows something we don’t.
Naturally, I decided to communicate in Berberi. I went, meh meh meh, for what felt like three whole paragraphs. She looked at me, gave me one solitary meh, and refused to elaborate despite my desperate mehs.
I have no idea what that meh meant. Maybe it was a blessing. Maybe it was an insult. Maybe she was telling me to lower my standards. We’ll never know.
One thing is certain though, the goat was an absolute GOAT at keeping her secrets.

Salam everyone! I’m organizing a South Asian Youth Lunch Series in Calgary through my foundation, creating a space where young South Asians can have honest conversations about mental health, identity, culture, and navigating the unique challenges we face.
I’ve put a lot of heart into this, but I’m finding it difficult to get the word out. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s organized community events before how did you build traction and reach the right audience in your city? Any advice, ideas, or connections would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I have a question….
@TigerLily
I used to love watching horror movies, now I'm petrified of watching them and hide behind people or cushions and squeel when watching one.
I have no idea what happened?! 🤷♀️
