2. It's the wali's job to provide (allowances..) for their daughters not a random non-mahram dude.

3. It's the wali's job to vet the potential to make sure he can provide for their daughter, while she can also choose to aid him. How is the wali supposed to do his job if you only introduce potentials after months/years of haram relationships?
