Didn't realise it was Father's Day today. Told my very chalant dad about it & he said, “Koi Father's Day Mother's Day nahi hota. Hum logon ke 365 days Father's Day/Mother's Day hota hai!” 🙃
But for those who lost there father - whether you celebrate Father's Day or do not believe in demarcating only one day for making ur main man feel special, I know today hits u like a blow and the pain you numbed over these months have scratched open with the social media timelines flooding with paternal love today.
IT IS OK TO CRY. Release those pent up emotions. Crying is a healthy way to do it. It will let go of all the feelings suffocating you & you can breathe again.
Regret is inevitable. No matter how much you showed your father that u were crazy for him, you always feel you could have done more. However, remember that guilt only manipulates your caring heart. Giving it shelter & fodder in your mind will only make you more miserable. Take a step back, learn wisdom n compassion from your loss, channel it to find that little voice of courage.
