Growing up in a traditional home, I assumed my life would follow a similar path. What I didn’t understand then was the quiet weight my dad carried every single day. He wasn’t college educated, but he worked tirelessly to provide for his wife and four daughters. Somehow, he made sure we always had a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our backs, and opportunities he never had, including paying for my college education so I wouldn’t start my adult life in debt. Even with the everyday chaos and emotions that come with a house full of five women, he was present. He built meaningful relationships with each of us. He never complained. Never asked anyone to carry his burden. He simply gave. It wasn’t until I became a single mother, fully responsible for another person’s well-being, financially and emotionally, that I truly understood the magnitude of what he had done for our family. Only then did I begin to appreciate the sacrifices, the pressure, and the strength it took to shoulder it all without letting us feel the weight of it.
In a time when so much of the conversation focuses on what men do wrong, I think it’s also important to acknowledge the good men. The men who quietly sacrifice, love deeply, show up consistently, and give without expecting recognition. Just as there are good women, there are good men. Our hardships may not look the same, but empathy doesn’t require identical experiences, it only requires a willingness to understand.

To the good fathers, husbands, sons, and men who continue to show up for the women in their lives- May Allah reward you immensely.

I don’t care who are you but make sure you guys know that there are so much fake accounts here, today I caught at least 4 accounts, immediately blocked them - same person acting as woman, man in 2 separate account.

Some people care more about winning arguments than finding the truth. That’s why online discussions almost never go anywhere.

Everytime i have to be up early for an event of some sort, I just can’t sleep. And then I run on zero sleep

I invited a few friends over a couple days after my birthday and told them they should wear florals to match the theme 🌸 (of course I sent the Miranda Priestly “florals for spring? groundbreaking.” meme right after 😄). Decorating was a bit of a challenge, which at 5’2 isn’t too surprising lol. Definitely worth it tho.

Next is an impromptu (British) tea party on the 4th in shaa Allah. Leaning into the irony with that one 😉🫖😆 🇬🇧
