This verse clearly proves that the Jews and Christians are polytheists. In another verse, He further states,
﴿They have disbelieved who say, “Indeed, Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah, verse: 72]
“They have disbelieved who say, “Indeed, Allah is the third of three.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah, verse: 72]
“They have disbelieved who say, “Indeed, Allah is the third of three.” [Surah Al-Ma’idah, verse: 73]
“They have disbelieved who say, “Indeed, Allah is the third of three.” [Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse: 73]
In another verse, Allah says,
“Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and Jesus, son of Mary.” [Al-Ma'idah: 78]
“Cursed were those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved by the tongue of David and Jesus, son of Mary.” [Surah Al-Ma'idah, verse: 78]
In another verse, Allah says,
﴿Indeed, those who disbelieved among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding therein forever.﴾ [Al-Bayyah: 6]
“Indeed, those who disbelieved among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding therein forever.” [Surah Al-Bayyah, verse: 6]
There are many verses and hadiths that express this meaning. Therefore, whoever denies the disbelief of the Jews and Christians who did not believe in Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him); Rather, they have accused him of lying, he is basically accusing Allah and His Messenger of lying, and it goes without saying that accusing Allah of lying is kufr, and whoever doubts their kufr has no doubt about his kufr, he is a clear disbeliever.

Subhan Allah, how is it possible for him to say that it is not permissible to call the Jews and Christians infidels, while their statement and belief is: “Allah is one of three beings.” That is why their Creator called them infidels. Our conscience does not agree, why does his heart not agree or not like calling them infidels, while they say: “The Messiah is the son of Allah.” He also says: “Allah’s hand is tied.” He also says: “Allah is poor, and we are rich.”
It is surprising, why did he find it difficult to call the Jews and Christians infidels and to apply the word infidel to them, while they have attributed such bad adjectives to their Lord, each of which includes blame, slander, and backbiting of Allah.
I call the preacher to the religion, I call him to repentance and I request him to recite the following verse:
﴿وَدُّواْ لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ ٩﴾ [القلم: ٩]
“They wish that if you were to compromise, they would compromise.” [Surah Al-Qalam, Verse: 9]

Answer: There is no doubt that the statement that came out of Waiz's mouth is a clear error, or rather, it is better to call it kufr. Because Allah Almighty has called the Jews and Christians in His Book as kafirs. For example, he says,
﴿وَقَالَتِ الجَيَهُودُ عُزَ عُزَ عَرْبْنُ اللَّهِ وَقَالَتِ ٱنَّصَرَى اللہمَسِيحُ ٱْنُ اللَِّّْ ذلِكَ قَوْلُهُم بَِفوهِهِمْ يُضهُِونَ قَوْلَ ٱلَّذِينَ 30 Mary, and they were not commanded except to worship One God. There is no god but He. Glory be to Him above what they associate with Him. 31﴾ [At-Tawbah: 30, 31]
“And the Jews say, ‘Uzair is the son of Allah,’ and the Christians say, ‘The Messiah is the son of Allah.’ This is their mouths’ saying, like those who disbelieved before. May Allah destroy them. Where will they be turned? They have taken their scholars and the recluses and the Messiah, the son of Mary, as lords besides Allah. And they were commanded to worship One God. There is no god but He. Glory be to Him above what they associate with Him. "Pure." [Surah At-Tawbah, Verses: 30-31]
