Maybe our story starts with a simple hello.
I’m not quite sure what to say, but I’d really like to share my interests with someone. And not just any interests—specifically those within my field of software.
How did you start out, and how did you land your first job? Let me just say, if I carry on relying solely on uni, I won't get a job until after graduation—if I even get one at all. I don't know, I'd even just like to do a placement to see what the real working world is actually like.
I study Computer Science, aiming to be a software engineer in the software department. I absolutely loved web development, which is why I chose to focus on it. Truth be told, I'm still starting out with the basics because I went through a bit of a rough patch, and once I was out of it, I just focused on my uni studies.
So yes, I really want to gain some experience, but my circle at uni can be quite sly, unfortunately; they aren't keen on sharing contacts or helping others network. So, if you have a plan or any advice, please do let me know.
