The words “I don’t know” are a Muslim’s safeguard
hello azxabta aan halkan ku midawnay
A good marriage is not about finding a perfect person. It is about two imperfect people who fear Allah enough to keep choosing honesty, compassion, and growth.
Allah ﷻ says:
"They are clothing for you, and you are clothing for them."
(Qur'an 2:187)
Clothing does more than cover the body.
It conceals flaws, preserves dignity, provides comfort, and protects from harm.
Likewise, a husband and wife are meant to be for one another.
They protect each other's honour rather than expose faults. They cover weaknesses rather than publicise them. They support one another through life's challenges and help each other remain steadfast upon faith.
Just as clothing is the closest thing to a person, spouses are meant to be among the closest companions to one another—bound by mercy, trust, loyalty, and sincere care.
Marriage in Islam is not merely living together; it is becoming a source of protection, comfort, and tranquillity for each other on the journey towards Allah.
"They are clothing for you, and you are clothing for them." — a beautiful reminder of what a marriage should strive to be.
People hide their own faults and blame the world instead.🍁
