From my personal experience......
Being rejected or ghosted before marriage is far less painful than discovering someone's true nature after marriage.
Sometimes we become attached to words, promises, attention, and the excitement of a new connection. If we underestimate our worth, lower our standards, or start chasing someone, certain people can take advantage of those vulnerabilities. They may say all the right things, but words and actions are not always the same.
I learned this the hard way. I believed words more than consistent actions, rushed into marriage, and ended up divorced within a year. Looking back, I wish I had slowed down and paid more attention to character, consistency, accountability, and how a person behaved over time.
A healthy marriage shouldn't be built on thrill, intensity, or pressure. It should grow slowly, steadily, and consistently. So if someone ghosts you or says the vibe isn't there, it may actually be Allah protecting you before you're emotionally, legally, and financially tied to the wrong person.
Keep praying, trust Allah, and don't be afraid to maintain high standards. The right person won't just tell you who they are—they'll show you through their actions over time.
